Happy Endings

I loved this back when it aired, which (somehow) was ten years ago. The Netflix algorithm decided it’s time for me to revisit it and, sure, that works for me.

Some of the jokes have definitely not aged well. I absolutely did not remember that this show wasted so much time on the emotional through line of whether Alex and Dave would get back together. Near the end it starts to realize that it should be doing scenes of Elisha Cuthbert eating Flintstones-sized ribs and spouting off nonsense and if I recall correctly it will lean hard into that to its great benefit.

They’re all funny though. Funny show.
