“I am enchanted and terrified!!”

This remains a stunningly gorgeous and seductive show in its second season with a terrific ability to reinvent itself as it goes. There were some character moments that felt kind of opaque to me instead of bracingly clear, unlike the first season. It’s engaging to wonder, alongside Jack and Alana, just to what extent Will is to be trusted. But I basically always believed that he was, and felt somewhat confused when I was encouraged to doubt that. Once it became clear that he was pretty firmly a good guy, and this is a story about going under cover and what it takes to maintain that cover it all clicked into place, and the finale was a delightful, fearless reset that I can’t wait to see how they proceed from here.
