Black Doves

Kind of fun to see this character dynamic (gay man, straight woman BFFs) in a setting like this (spies and assassins). Lots of fun performances, especially among the motley criminal side characters (Eleanor and Williams the obvious standouts) (and, my god, Kathryn Hunter as Lenny). The plot was really quite besides the point and I only kind of followed it and certainly wasn’t invested in it. Most of the action is pretty good, but nothing too novel there. Works surprisingly well as a romantic, family Christmas story.
